Dedication & Practice

Yesterday evening, I got the opportunity to witness some of the greatest singers and musicians practicing before their big show. The experience felt terrific and enlightening.

Some of these musicians have been in the industry for more than 40-50 years. They have given innumerable performances and have sung thousands of songs. Still, all of them practiced their voice, tuned their instruments and made sure everything was perfect before their big day.

Some of them helped and encouraged the others. They spotted teeny tiny errors that we cannot even comprehend. They kept practicing until they ironed it out.

Apart from the auditory magic that was happening on the stage, I felt an emotional shift within me. I have heard that musicians practice their craft every day. I knew that all artists must. Still, it felt so motivating to see it happen before my eyes.

It reinforced my belief that talent can only co-exist with dedication and practice.
